Arena Experiments: Simplified UI

We’re currently experimenting with a more streamlined way to navigate Arena. For users in this experiment, different Arenas and Modes can now be accessed directly from the chat bar.

If you’re part of the experiment, your chatbox will look something like this:

Chat & Work

There are two modes you can choose from here: Chat and Work.

When you select Chat, you’ll get a more traditional AI chat experience.

When you select Work, you’ll enter our Agent Mode experience which is an advanced agentic experience designed for more complex, ongoing tasks.

How to use Chat

Your prompt helps determine which Arena you’re routed to. For example, if you want to use Video Arena, make that clear in your prompt with something like: “Create a video of...”

By default, you’ll be in Battle, where two anonymous models respond side by side.

If you’d prefer to use a specific model, use the @ selector to choose from the available models.

If you’d prefer to compare two specific models head to head, use the @ selector and choose two available models.

Please note that this feature is currently part of an experiment, so it may not be available to all users.
