How to Recover Chat History in Arena

The site moving from https://lmarena.ai/ to http://arena.ai/ may result in some problems accessing your chat history. This Help Center will cover some commonly asked questions and steps you can take to get your chat history back.

Will my chat history be on the new site?

  • Yes. If you have an account, just log in with your account in the new site and you will see all your chat history.

  • If you don’t have an account, your chat history will also be transferred to the new site as long as you are using the same browser you last used to interact with the site.

  • If your chat history was not automatically imported click here. Note that doing so will delete any new chats you’ve had in the new site.

I have a chat history when using the new site, but also want to recover my previous chats, what can I do?

If you have an account...

  • Login with your account to the new site, and your current chat history (chats from the new site) and past chats (chats within your account) will be merged.

If you do not have an account...

  • If you do not have an account, there is no way to keep both old and new chat histories.

    • If you want to keep your new chat history Create an account so your chats will always be accessible even from different browsers. You can also do nothing and your chats will be preserved as long as you don't clear your browser history.

    • If you want to keep your old chat history, click here and your old chats will be imported to the new site. Note that doing that will delete all chats you’ve had in the new site.

I can’t see my chat history

  • If you have an account, logging in to your account will automatically bring back all your chat history.

  • If your chat history was not automatically imported. Click here to do so. Note that doing so will delete any new chats you’ve had in the new site.

  • If your chat history was not automatically recovered by clicking on this link did, make sure that you:

    • Are using the same browser that you last used to interact with our site

    • Did not delete the cookies or clear the browser history

    • Don't have any browser extension that blocks redirects or that could be interfering with recovering your history

Do I need to create a new account?

  • No, you can use the account you've always had to log into the site. This will retain your chat history across multiple devices.

I was logged out, what happened?

  • Log back in with your regular username and password or Google account when on http://arena.ai/.
