How to Upload Files into Arena
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Arena supports file uploads to help you provide additional context when prompting models. Uploading a file allows models to reference or work directly with visual input during generation.
How To Use
You can upload a file to Arena in two ways:
Click the “+” icon in the chat input box and select a file from your device
Copy and paste a supported file directly into the chat input
Once uploaded, the file will appear in your prompt before you submit it.
Supported File Types
In Battle Mode, Arena supports the following file types:
PNG (.png)
JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)
WebP (.webp)
PDF (.pdf)
In Agent Mode, Arena supports the following file types:

Arena Switching Behavior
If you upload an image while using Text Arena, Arena will automatically switch you to Image Arena. This is intentional and assumes you’re looking to use Image Edit capabilities rather than standard vision-based prompting.
If you want to return to vision-based prompting in Text Arena, simply exit Image Arena to switch back.
When to Use File Uploads
File uploads are especially useful when:
Editing or transforming images
Providing visual context for a prompt
Comparing how models interpret the same image
As file support expands, uploads will enable richer workflows across additional arenas.
